Nielsen have released a report showing some hard data on the owners of GTA IV, showing that a majority of those purchasing the game preferring the Xbox 360 console over the PS3. Also, a quarter made the decision to buy for their Xbox 360 based on the exclusive content.
Also in the inflammatory reportt, the company found that Microsoft's exclusive episodic GTA content (which is due to arrive shortly) did convince a few gamers to go with the 360 version, with 25 percent of those who purchased the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV citing the extra content as a deciding factor. 64 percent said they simply prefer the Xbox 360 over the PS3.
More bait for the fanboys, but it is interesting to at last see some actual figures rahter than speculation as to whether or not the exclusive content makes a difference.
