Sony Use SOCOM Screenshots To Represent MAG
July 21st 2008 06:31
Rumour? Another industry insider (and there are now officially more of them than people actually working in the gaming industry) has suggested that the uninspiring titled Sony game MAG (Massive Action Game) could actually be the next game to spring from the loins of the SOCOM franchise.
This insider has spilled the beans after taking part in a focus group held some time before E3. During this session a few titles were bandied about, such as "Shadow War," "Zero," "Global War," or "Final Hour." Now the rumour itself stems from the fact that Zipper Interactive are the team currently bashing away at the code for MAG. You may recognise the name as the team behind the SOCOM series. The closest we have for evidence is that screenshots from SOCOM were allegedgly used as representations of the MAG end product. Does this mean that MAG will morph into a SOCOM title? Or just that Sony didn't expect anyone to recognise the SOCOM screenshots?
