Play Halo And Mass Effect On Your PS3?

In a Press Release posted on their website on the 4th August, StreamMyGame announced that Crysis is now playable on the PS3 through their software... Along with any other game on the PC platform, as long as it is not a 64 bit version.
"The new player works with Yellow Dog Linux Version 6 which is now really easy to install and recommended by Sony," said Richard. "We have included full details on our website of where to download YDL6, how to record it to DVD and how to install it".
"The ability to use the SIXAXIS to play PC games on the PS3 enables our PS3 customers to use a gaming control they are already familiar with and the flexibility to play games the way they want," said Richard. The site also includes a list of games that have been classified as compatible for streaming over the system, including WoW, Age of Conan, Spore and Fallout 3 to name a few. Plus of course the big ones; Halo and Mass Effect.
It would be interesting to hear from any users who have tried this software. If it were workable it would give the Sony fanboys a massive weapon in their never ending struggle to destroy all before them. The FAQ section on the StreamMyGame website does include an extensive list of help for people experiencing difficulties, suggesting that there may be a few out there. Online play would definitely be something we would be interested in having the quality of tested. Given the possibilities though, it's an exciting concept and unique to the PS3 - you can be sure that you won't see anything like it on the Xbox360.
